Socials
We only get one life so we believe it's important to live every minute of it. At Leeds A-Soc we hold at least one social every week including out of term time and we often have extra socials on as well! This page contains a breakdown of our social activites.
Weekly Social
Every week after our weekly meeting we head down to the bar for a few relaxed drinks to chat about life, the universe and everything and catch up on what we have been up to over the past week. Everyone is welcome, even if you don't come to the meetings and there is usually some of us there until kick out time.
Weekends Away

We hold several big weekends away which is a fantastic opportunity to make lasting friendships and see new things. In November we go down
to London to visit Speakers' Corner, the South Place Ethical Society, museums and a few good nights out too. In summer we
go camping. Both events see us invite other free thinking societies from across the country to join us.
Nights Out

Every now and then we organise heavier nights out for those of our members that like to party hard. These include trips to the clubs in the city centre and student nights at the union as well as our Freshers' Week pub crawl to introduce new students to the city and more. We also run club nights now and then such last year's
Rocky Horror Night and
School Disco.
Relaxed Evenings

At A-Soc we aim to cater for all of our members and we realise that not everyone wants to drink. Therefore we have committed to organise non-alcohol based socials on a regular basic for our members. These include trips to the cinema, bowling, going to restaurants for dinner, movie nights and A-Soc's legendary dinner parties.
Days Out
We organise day trips to a number of different locations and cultural interest spots. These include the Royal Armouries, Tropical World and other such places as well as local events such as Cafe Science and the local Humanist group's meetings.
End of Year Ball

At the end of the year we organise an annual ball at which we dress up in our finest and head out for a fancy meal. This is a rare treat to see some of our committee members wear something other than cargos and trainers so it is an occasion not to be missed!
