A society for atheists, rationalists, secularists and humanists
Reason Week (formally known as Rationalist Week) is the society's flagship awareness event - a week of talks, debates and events on atheism, reason and science. The week has proved so successful at Leeds it has now spread nationally with societies all over the country running their own awareness weeks.
Rationalist Week 2009 proved to be our biggest event ever featuring over 40 events and with out tent open 24 hours a day throughout the week. Key events included our first ever debate with the Islamic Society, make your own god, FSM church service and much, much more!
Reason Week 2010 will be running in April and while we're still busy brainstorming ideas for the week it will doubtlessly be an amazing week. We will continue to post news and updates as we have them so keep an eye on the blog.

As with previous years we will have a marquee oposite the union which will be open for people to come look around, grab a drink and have a chat. There will be informational posters and leaflets in the tent as well as food and drink available and all the drinks are free too!
We have a packed timetable (See below) with events going on all day including talks at noon, 2pm and 7pm, campaigns and displays at 10am and fun stuff at 4pm and 9pm each day. Highlights of the week include Mike Lake from Derbyshiire Secularists & Humanists, our debates with the Christians and the Muslims and our famous all night debate.
Best of all the tent is open 24 hours a day during the week so any time you want to stop in for a drink and a chat you can!
