Every year A-Soc hosts a legendary party weekend for our members. Since 2007 we have spent the last weekend in November traveling, seeing the sights and lighting up the town. Previously this has been in London but this year we will be heading up to Edinburgh.
The 2010 trip will be priced at £70 for members and £80 for non-members (remember that membership is less than £10 so it is well worth signing up!). This covers your train tickets there and back and your accommodation for the weekend.
During the weekend we will be organising a full programme of events, including:
- Two nights out, a fun cheesy one and an alternative one
- A ghost walk hosted by Edinburgh Skeptics
- Trip to Edinburgh Castle
- Museum trips, restaurants and loads more…
Of course, you’re more than welcome to just go off and do your own thing instead!

The trip is open to everybody (though of course, members get a big discount) so sign up now! There are only a limited number of places given away on a first come first served basis and your place isn’t confirmed until you have paid. Speak to any committee member to sign up or sign up online.
Accommodation
We are staying in a rather fancy youth hostel. While it is a hostel so it’s dorm sleeping but you won’t be sharing with randoms, we book entire dorms out for the society. It’s also one of the better class hostels with continental buffet breakfasts, internet, wifi, 24/7 access, no curfews and is in a prime location in the centre of the city.
