Norm's talk on social evolution is now available as a video for the people that missed the talk - head over to the videos section of the website to watch.
Atheist Week is going well. If you have missed a lot of it - don't worry! It's all going on YouTube.
With that in mind we have now launched our new video library which lists all of the videos we have now uploaded categorised into various topics.

It's quite an exciting time for the society at the moment. Which is why we haven't blogged for ages, it's all just been too exciting :p. Seriously though.
Tonight's meeting, "What God can't do" saw a strong turn-out and quite a good chat in the pub afterwards. Plus we have a lot of exciting events coming up.
Namely, in a few weeks time it's Atheist Week. This is a week long (well, 4 days actually so not a week at all) series of events, debates and talks about Atheism. It's not quite on the scale of Rationalist Week but it's going to be big!
Secondly, the weekend following that is the Weekend in London. We're currently throwing together all the details for that and it's shaping up to be an amazing weekend. One which I wouldn't want to miss!
While this is probably fairly boring news, I'm going to post about it anyway :p.
The events page has now been tweaked so that it only displays the first paragraph of the events details. This is because previously it would display the entire details which could sometimes be an awful lot of text and it didn't display with any paragraphing - it was just one mass of text.
Now it just displays a quick description and you can click on the event name to get full details. The description has a [More] indicator if there is more text to be read when you view the full details of an event (which there almost always is).
Well, that didn't work very well did it :p.
The site is now back online while we try to figure out what went wrong with the migration.
Hmm, need to improve my titles I think lol.
I feel it's time for a quick blog post. First of all the second part of Richard Dawkins' documentary "Enemies of Reason" is on Channel 4, well, now ;).
Secondly lots of things are happening in preparation for September. Most notably we've started to list events for next year on the events page.
We will also be posting a lot more details on what is going on`soon so keep your eyes pealed to the website.

I haven't posted in a while so I just thought I would make a quick post and say what is going on at the moment.
Our activities have mostly halted for the moment but hehind the scenes we are preparing for the start of next year.
We are also considering throwing together some socials over the summer so that those of us that are still in Leeds have something to do.
Things are starting to come together for Rationalist Week. We've been busy planning, ordering and buying things and more exciting, things are starting to turn up.
I've just had an email letting me know that they have dispatched the megaphone so that should be here on Monday we should have a lot of other stuff arriving next week too.
The downside being that currently I have 12 stackable chairs and 3 tables in my room. It's a good job I have a fair bit of space!
