Courses

We run a number of courses looking at various specific subjects. These are open to everyone and both members and non-members are encouraged to attend.

One Life

One Life: Rights & Responsibilities session Launched in January 2008, One Life centred around the idea that atheists want to ask similar questions to those of religious people such as what is the meaning of life and why should we be good but without having to resort to religion.

As a result the One Life course was developed to look at these questions from a secular perspective. Find out more

Perspective

At A-Soc we aim to get as much dialog going between faith and non-faith groups as possible in order that we should better understand what the other believes. With this in mind we, launched Perspective in January 2009 and it has been going strong ever since!

This course will look at a different religion each week and will see members from each religious community invited to it to discuss their believes and give people the chance to learn more and ask questions. Find out more.

Answers

For those who have decided they are an atheist but want to express their views better, there is Answers. Answers encourages you to really question your beliefs and work out what it is you think in order to be able to better explain to other people how you feel.
